Elite Charity Shield

In 2016 the Club decided to raise money for a local children's charity known as Acorns. We played a football game against a local rival Athletico Villa and managed to raise money for the club and Acorns, a very proud moment in the clubs history.

Because of the huge success, the club has decided to hold this event annually. We will encourage more teams to take part next year to raise more money for charity. Creating an annual Elite Charity Shield is a great way to promote the clubs ongoing efforts to help the local community.

Empire Cinema Fundraiser Raffle

In 2015 the club approached a local business known as the Empire Cinema in Sutton Coldfield. The general manager Des was very happy to help. He donated a selection of Free Cinema Guest Passes, which we decided to raffle off at our awards evening.

Approaching local businesses is something the club does regularly. Most businesses will try and help in some way, shape or form, where possible. This kind donation managed to raise money to support the club in buying some new equipment for its ladies side.

Asda Bag Packing

In 2014, the club approached the Community Officer at the Asda Superstore in Perry Barr. She was very helpful in allowing us to raise money for the club.

The ladies were very helpful and got straight to it. They were role model bag packers. Helping customers with their shopping, hoping for a stress free small donation. The long day at the tills was very enjoyable. We met many characters, who asked a lot of questions about the team.

We were able to promote club activities and had a few interested players who came down to train with the team. A great team bonding moment.

The Asda Community Officer also suggested we be part of the Community Green Token Award Sceme. A scheme where customers place a special green token in a slot to support local groups like ourselves.
